Day 3: Pisa -> Florence

Sunday: We woke to a slightly overcast day in Cinque Terre so we packed up, enjoyed our host's hospitality and caught the train toward Florence. Conveniently Pisa is in between and the junction of our trains. We spent 3 delightful hours in Pisa taking pictures and laying in the lawn. That is about all there is to do, and yes the tower of Pisa leans pretty far over. When we were down we continued south to Florence. Just 100 meters from the train station we found our simple, cheap, clean and perfect hotel. Florence isn't to large but we were in a great location just off the center. After we dropped our bags we went exploring. We went to the center where in just a matter of minutes Irena (Barcelona friend) spotted us a jumped Willie. With her were eight of our other abroad friends. From that point we were able to explore more with them. We separated for dinner but met again for drinks on their room’s rooftop that had the best view in the city of the Duomo. It was incredible and certainly a defining moment in our trip. It was a location that separated our stay from others.
